The company was founded in 2023 by Mateusz Dembski, and Paweł Jaksina joined him in 2026. They have over 10 years of experience in the automotive industry. Both began their careers in the automotive sector in Poland, and after several years of work, they moved to the UAE. Their practical experience in various environments has shaped the company’s approach: transparent pricing, clear terms regarding security deposits, and services tailored to travelers’ actual needs.

In over 3 years of operation, Modena Car Rental has already served more than 2,000 customers, with a 5.0/5 rating on Google. Every reservation includes free delivery to your hotel, Airbnb, or the airport – we arrange the time directly with you, without rigid time slots – as well as a written deposit refund policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

A valid national driving licence from your home country is accepted for tourists visiting the UAE. If you’re a UAE resident, you’ll need a UAE driving licence. If your licence is not in English or Arabic, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is strongly recommended. Licences must have been held for at least 6 months.

Salik is Dubai’s electronic toll system. When your rental car passes through a Salik gate, a fee of 5 AED per crossing is automatically charged. These charges are tracked during your rental period and added to your final bill. There are no surprises – we’ll give you a full breakdown when you return the car.

Yes. Travel within the UAE is permitted. However, driving outside the UAE (e.g. to Oman) requires advance approval and additional documentation. Please inform us before your trip – unauthorised cross-border use voids your insurance coverage.

Speed cameras are common on Dubai roads. Any fines issued during your rental period are registered to the vehicle and transferred to the renter. We will inform you of any outstanding fines when you return the car. The UAE operates a strict points and fine system – limits range from 40 to 120 km/h depending on the road.

The deposit is refunded within 20 to 28 days. This is due to UAE banking processing times for online transactions – it is not a Modena hold.

Yes. An additional driver must be declared at the time of booking, present a valid driving licence, and be approved by Modena. Additional charges may apply depending on the car category.

Call the Dubai Police (999) and do not move the vehicles until a police report has been issued. Contact us as soon as possible via WhatsApp. Without a police report, insurance coverage cannot be applied – regardless of fault.
